Burberry announces John Smith as new Chief Operating Officer.
Smith has 20 years' experience in media having been at BBC Worldwide from 2005 to 2012, focusing on innovative digital formats and platforms and sales of over GBP1bn.
He has been a non-executive director on Burberry Board since December 2009 and will continue as such until taking full time role in March 2013.
